Have you ever felt like you were "not from here" - I mean, really not from here? Like the human goings-on on Planet Earth are so profoundly alien to you that you must be from somewhere else?
I've felt that way since I was a kid. In fact, when I was in 3rd grade, I began writing a novel about the planet I thought I was from. When I went out in public, if a stranger made eye contact with me, I would think, "Maybe she or he is from my home planet!"
As I grew up, I dismissed that feeling as a childhood fantasy. But over the past 10+ years, as I have studied and practiced shamanism, I have met many other people who feel similarly. And as I've connected with non-physical teachers, channeled guidance, and experienced the multidimensional nature of reality and of the self, the idea that some of us really are from someplace else has come to make sense to me.
"Starseed" is one term often used to describe people who sense that our consciousness originated elsewhere, on a different planet,plane or realm. (Another term I like to use is "Emissary.") We tend to have highly evolved spirits, but we've often led extremely challenging, traumatic human lives. Most of us sense that we actively chose to be here on earth in order to try to help people, and the earth itself, through these crisis times. Yet the reality of being here can be a whole lot harder than we might have anticipated!
